Is anyone else celibate due to previous heartbreak? I have been celibate for 14 years, and I intend that to continue for as long as it is meant to. It doesn't lessen my desire for companionship with young women, though. Sometimes that's painful.

Happy New Year, 2014 is my 9th year of celibacy! Almost a decade of pure freedom and joy!

If you do not do it here, I think that would have something to watch for sure.

This is just great! Before I was a Christian, I tried, and tried to date. Failed always! I tried and tried to live in the world and I just couldn't lose this virginity All through college and grad school...traveling......I finally in a very dark time found Christ (he was always there btw). I still tried to meet and date fellow sisters to no avail....and suddenly while on a deep mountain camp out with my Boy Scout Troop two years became clear. My gift of celibacy wasn't a curse. It was a blessing. I trusted God...and I have been rewarded with better sleep. A better focus instead of worrying about me being a man or attractive or cool enough for a woman. I look and feel great. Thank you for this page, and this testimony!

The true Losers in this World Are the non-virgins Who sold their Soul for a night of shallow empty seul destroying Whoredom Who would go immediately to the marriage Registry office and marry a complete Stranger that they just met in a Disco? How much more mad and depraved is it to Connsumate a fake open marriage Through Sex? Where the other person can say Bye On the next morning? Non-Virgins make themselves to cheap Whores with zero self esteem and zero respect for their Partner. The first question you must ask yourself is Do i really want to be a Father/Mother Only then you should seek a partner Sex is about having Children When the Love to the Child is the Centrepoint of the marriage Only then will the man and woman Be capable of true Love Love of Father or Mother is selfless And the greatest Love You love your Child no matter what he/she does And you love them always And love to Children is the Source Of true Love between a Man and a Woman Sex without Children is a shallow self destroying dead end. Sex before marriage is Suicide of Your Soul And like a form of rape and murder Of your partners Soul When i see a attractive woman Then i imagine her with a pregnant belly And then i see whats the purpose of Sex I only think now when i see a attractive Woman this means being a Father to a baby And then i feel zero sexual desire And i am free from myself. It really helps to think of Babies To combat sexuel desires. Its not about perverse empty fun in Bed Sex is really only aboit Babies And any fun is a tiny side effect I never kissed or touched a woman Or saw their nakedness And its much easier that way Non-virgins are trapped Virgins are free from their own desires I am 50 and never think about Sex And love this freedom of my Soul Sex without Love for Children Is empty and shallow and a prison for your Soul Only Grace makes life fulfilling Bye

After years of self-fulfilment and not knowing where it would end, I found your website and my life has been transformed. I have now found a friend and we share a life of abstinence and experience the joys of union with the Lord. My passions, which girded my loins for so long, are now abated and I live life to the full. I would like to ask your advice on the subject of masturbation and whether the Lord condones such activity. Thank you.

I found this site while browsing for celibacy and I am so glad that there are other celibates here posting! I have honestly felt like the only one who even simply desires to be celibate. As a person who wants to live for the Lord, celibacy has just drawn me in and intrigued me. I want to do it, though I know I have a drive. However, the problem is I know nobody else who is celibate either. It's a struggle to feel alone in this, so I hope there are others out there like me who can sympathize with me.

I am 54yr old virgin by choice and have enjoyed this lifestyle for many years. There are advantages of remaining a virgin and many people have chosen to do this throughout the course of history. It is refreshing to find a site that supports this cause. Virginity has always had a high priority in my life and I fully support any individual who wishes to remain a virgin.

So nice to find your site! I have been celibate for 16 years now and am so glad I made that decision back then. My self-esteem, self-confidence and peace of mind just keep growing and growing, and spiritually I know it's the right thing to do. All that free love stuff is just a lie! Be strong!

I am happy to have found this website. I think it is great to find others who are on this same journey. I know that it can be frustrating and even a challenge at times, but I do hope and pray that everyone is able to stay true to what they initially set out to accomplish. Best Wishes.

I am so glad I found this site, it is so encouraging, this is something that should be mentioned in churches. I am single, the church and other people will try to encourage me to get married but it is good to know that there are other options. Thanks

In my adolescence, I had seen a few girls about my age that I thought were quite attractive, but I did not care about sex. I attended teen Bible studies, and many times the group leader stressed the importance of saving sex for marriage and seeking God for help in fighting off sexual urges. I was not experiencing them, but I was so sure that I would soon be faced with these urges due to my changing body and my overactive hormones. The urges never showed up. For a long while, I just thought that I had excellent control of my sex drive, but as time went on and even into adulthood I knew some friends who had sexual thoughts and hard temptations, I realized that I was different. I simply never had a sex drive. In fact, I don't really care about getting married anymore. I have no idea what God's plans are for my life, but I believe that I could easily take my virginity to the grave.

Thank you for your website. I've been celibate for over 20 years since my divorce. I still have men (young and old) hitting on me; however, I still believe that waiting until marriage is the right choice!

For all my life, I've never been interested in having a relationship, or having sex, and I've met a few people who thought that pitied, or thought that I was a prude. Honestly, I don't see why people think that you can only be happy if you're in a sexual relationship. Personally, I think I'm better off being single, and saving my virginity. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I strongly suggest that you build a forum in your site for celibate people, abstinent people, and those who are planning to be celibate or abstinent to interact among each other. This will let them feel less alone in this oversexualized world.
